Shadow Hawk Golf Club
The Club was founded in 1999. The first shot from hole No. 1 on opening day was hit by George H. W. Bush, 41st President of the United States — affectionately known as “41." The shot is memorialized by a plaque on the first tee. The Men’s Locker Room features a locker covered in plexiglass with 41’s favorite shirts and sweaters with the Presidential insignia.
The Men’s Locker Room is complete with a private grill and bar and both the Men’s and Women’s locker rooms are staffed with the Club's most popular two employees. The Club is geared for a very casual experience but amidst a very upscale decor. The views out to the course provide both fine dining indoors and casual dining outside.
The Club's golf course was designed by Rees Jones, who many refer to as the “Open Doctor.” Rees has redesigned many historic golf venues before they have hosted a modern-day US Open. The golf course is a true test of golf for any player. The Club has hosted nine USGA Qualifying events. The 2005 USGA Women’s Mid-Amateur Championship and the 2011 USGA Men’s mid-amateur were staged at Shadow Hawk to rave reviews from all players.
Members of Shadow Hawk enjoy 108 holes of golf in the Houston Area, having complete member access to Black Hawk Country Club, Golf Club of Houston and BlackHorse Golf Club. The Club is amenity rich with two resort style pools, a complete fitness center, childcare center, full-service spa, and tennis courts. The Club is one of only very few in Houston that offers a caddy program for members and guests who enjoy playing golf like the pros.
